Just to clarify, are you saying that:
1. The radio normally turned off with the ignition off, but now it stays on? or,
2. Have you just purchased the car and the radio doesn't turn off when you turn the ignition off? (this would mean that the previous owner has powered the radio incorrectly) or,
3. Have you just installed the radio yourself and it doesn't turn off?

Is it the factory head unit?

find the instructions for that head unit. Manufacturers usually have a pdf you can download. check there is no setting in the radio that makes it stay on when the ignition is turned off. I suspect a setting rather than an electrical fault, if it was working correctly before and nothing has been changed with the wiring.
Failing that, get out your multimeter and test the wire that is supposed to be hooked to the ignition circuit. usually red but again, check the instructions.

You need to rewire the power source to the ignition. It was obviously set up with an equalizer or subwoofer or something else and is looking for another switch.
