Radio wont turn off

Hi folks. ( 2013 VE Omega V6 series 2) When I purchased the car a few months ago, the radio would turn off automatically when you removed the key and opened the drivers door.

Now it doesn't turn off automatically under those circumstances. It will turn off manually though. Can't find anything in the handbook or manual.

Any ideas????

I think I MAY have figured it out. It seems that the radio auto off is linked to the interior light. When the interior light is on "auto" (comes on when door is opened) and the drivers door is opened, the radio goes off.

Need to check this at night time, as my interior light doesn't seem to come on during the day. Or maybe the bulb is blown??

The car doesn't know the sun is up.

Interior light should always come on when the door is opened if the switch is on auto.

Bulb would be blown.

No it wont, the interior light will only come on with the door open if the light sensor on the dash says its dark, same as the headlights.
Sounds like a door actuator failure as far as the radio goes.

+1 for door actuator . Quite a few members on here with VE commodores including me have had this issue . I had mine fixed under warranty

Seen this problem about a dozen times. Not to worry a new one is only about $50 and there is an instructional video on YouTube

Bit more than $50 mate, mine was $200.

Whoops. I meant used. They are always second hand ones on eBay for $50-$70.
