Ran out of fuel !

It could take a bit of cranking to get it going, I would crank for at least 20 seconds. Alternatively the fuel pump may have **** itself by running dry, they don't like that.

Put more fuel in it. When I ran out of fuel in my old VX I had to put about 15L in for it to start for me.

Plus it could take a while for it to get the fuel through the system.

If you ran out of fuel and your car is facing up a hill and/or leaning to the left, 10 litres might not be enough. Try adding just a bit more fuel. Happened to me once.

I ran out of fuel the other night in the middle of nowhere. I obtained 10L of fuel in a jerry and added it to the tank. Car wouldn't start so I started reading posts. The above post saved my ass. When i pulled off the road, it was a bit of a ditch scenario where my car was leaning to the left. I got some help but we couldn't push it back to the road. So I obtained another 10L and BAM! worked a treat.
