Vu ute
changing my rear shocks in my vu Ute what is the torque for the little top nut that holds the bushing together on the mounting plate? Don’t want to overtighten it

Not sure of torque, but good luck torquing it down properly....They have a habit of spinning the shock body, when tightening the nut by hand to begin with....To tighten with a torque wrench will be near impossible getting it exact

Not sure if there is a specified torque for that nut
You only want to tighten the nut up enough so that you can't turn the mounting plate while holding onto the shock.....If you get what I mean
Just don't tighten it to the point that you are distorting the bushes out of shape

VT/VX service manual says "Shaft protrusion above nut, from 15.5 to 16.0 mm". Doesn't give a torque figure.
