Rear wheel bearings. Drum - disc.

Can anyone tell me if the wheel bearing cups are different from drums to discs?

We've put discs on & have about 8mm endfloat on both axles.

The difference is a spacer ring. The disc bearings have the spacer, the drum bearings don't.

You cannot mix and match. If its drum rear get bearings and collars and seals to suit drum

So the disc bearing cones are longer than the drum ones? If that's the case, i won't just buy new cones, i will buy the complete bearing assemblies. Common sence.

The car was drum rear. We fitted VL discs to the drum braked housing (with drum axles) & ended up with the endfloat. Is the spacer included in the bearing kit?

mine was drum rear as well and i used the drum axles. i used disk rear bearings/seals and collars and i have had no problems.

You can use the drum axles, just use the disc bearings as Nath did.
