Slippy_Trippy, i explained how they work! Read my post. As for the melbourne ones going off randomly. Sometimes they have errors (i remember one that was flashing EVERYTHING that went past, even bicyclists), but most of the time they're calibration flashes if no one does anything wrong. Just remember that red light cameras are ALSO speed cameras. So if someone speeds through a green the flash still goes off.

picture is taken front on, if your front wheels are over the line 0.3 seconds after the light is red, you are snapped twice, once front on, once as you are leaving.

thats in QLD anyway, i believe it's around $325 in NSW mate, and still 3 points..

eah danja and Paul, you guys are right, my mate got one a couple of months ago, exact same thing, $324 and 3 points.

**** is there one on Aiken road aswell?? Mmm the one that got me was on the corner of Carlingford Rd and Pennant Hills Road. I didn't see the flash, so fingers crossed lol.
