red light flashing on mode switch

just noticed when driving the little red light on the mode switch is flashing really quickly i haven't seen this before has any one any ideas why this is happening i know it has to do with security but the car is functioning properly?

when u got the ignition on the on position but with the motor off and the red light is flashing does ur fan come on??? is it hard to start sumtimes??? cos my mum had same prob wit vt to the point where car wouldnt kik over due to factory imobiliser not switching off properly due to key needing to be replaced, once we replace key, the car started first kik and no more flashing red light
