Have to renew my VN rego next Jan, first time doing it.

Would a cracked winscreen give me problems?

I don't know, hence why I asked what State you were in. In SA you just renew it, either by going to the Motor Registration Dept, Post Office, or online. Sorry I can't help with NSW.

Same as Vic. As long as you re-new rego before it expires, no need to get another roadworthy.

You will need to get a road worthy (pink slip) for your car. I would guess that the windscreen will cause you some grief.
Other things to check
1) That ALL brake lights work.
2) You are not leaking anything
3) You have enough tread on your wheels.

It will depend on the size and location of the damage.
Attached is some info from the RTA website that explains (For NSW anyway)

Thanks for that, I might get away with it. I have one small bullseye and a hairline that cuts accross the bottom right hand corner however it is longer than 75mm but you can't really see it coz it's in the corner.

You would be working hard to get a VN without minor leaks. Just make sure that it is not pouring out all over the place. I would not clean it up too much as the dust makes a great adsorbant mat.
