remember the radiator fan clutch

if it fails the fan will still turn but the factory air cond wont work properly due to the cooling system overheating. the aux electric radiator fan will come on but it wont be able to keep things cool enough
the fault isn't with the air cond, its the radiator fan clutch, sometimes leaking silicone will be visible:hmmm:

Wtf....

If the clutched fan is failing it either locks on and stays the same speed as the engine rpm. Or stays as an idle speed and not engage when things heat up.
They r filled with oil and work similar to your torque converter
