for simplicity sake, why not get 5 jerry cans and load them into your tray? Why go to all the trouble of creating a death trap unless you want to win the Darwin Awards...

how stupid do people think I am

I dunno....how stupid are you.

Jeez...just find a place that fabricates fuel tanks especially for that purpose. Maybe a specialised metal/aluminium fabricator.
I know it's not a 4 wheel drive, but 4x4 shops have and fit auxiliary tanks.....maybe they can point you in the right direction.

Aside from the safety concerns, what about someone driving continuously for two tanks worth of fuel on a Highway?

I drive for a living and can tell you you'd most probably fall asleep before running out of that much fuel.

As someone above mentioned, stop when needed, take a piss, have a drink, snack etc and hopefully we won't read about you in the death notices in the paper.

If your hell bent though, just do it, we clearly have no idea.

Swyped from my Note 2 phablet...

You all must think I'm fairy stupid to think that you will most like need a rest after 2-3hours of driving I'm not some little kid who wants to fuel the tub with fuel and see if I can drive for 10hrs straight or blow my car up

To stop with all the smart ass comments and **** I'm gonna get the 110L tank replacement and get someone to make a battery box for under the back window

your fuel economy must be **** if a tank only lasts you 2-3 hours of highway driving. and really you should have a rest every 3 hours
