Removal of centre Grille

I wan't to take out out the centre of the grille i.e. the black bar and all that part,thought I might do a clean, undid the screws on top but it seems to be very awkward and I can't seem to budge it, I don't wan't to damage anything.
Has anyone had it off or does it need any special tools??.
Any help would be appreciated!!.:ranting:

I think it's also attached underneath.
Just slide under the front and look up, pretty sure you'll find it hooked up there somewhere.

yep its got clips underneath. not sure if it can be removed without taking the bumper off

how did you go with this Ronaldw?

I've thought about removing this grill and just having the mesh and a silver bar going accross, no Holden symbol, its freaking huge anyway.

No I did not try after naf said it had clips underneath, thought not worth it just to clean, sorry squire.
