If your only doing it to find the grommet, remove the try liner and poke the wires through that way.
Then you wont have to strip the interior.

worked a treat mate. Thanks for the reply. Have you got any suggestions for wiring the camera through the tailgate at all or just drill it.

I had a series 2 tailgate for some reason and it had a hole already in it for the cable to come out of, if not just drill it, a 90 degree drill chuck works well I found on my sedan when installing one, I can link a pic tomorrow night after work
