Im having some trouble removing the dash facia from my VU Manual, i have all the top screws and clips out but it seems to be getting caught on the section between the facia and shift surround below the sterio... i have removed the screws where the lighter is so its not that... do i need to remove the shift surround before i can take the facia out ? if so how do i go about that.

Any advice or pictures would be fantastic

Yeah you do, all you have to do is put you fingers at the back of the shifter surround, and with a decent pull the fascia should pull up from there.

Then when taking off the top half just unscrew everything and pull it off, disconnecting the wires to the mode button etc as you go.

Search on the forum, there's a thread about it with pictures.

Hope this helps, cheers.
