ive checked fuses and there fine so im thinking that maybe stage 1 of my dash switch when you turn it to parkers has gone to poo town..

how do i remove the whole switch to see if its getting power to it ?

it will be a fuse mine did the same but to get to the switch you have to undo the 2 screws above the speedo on the panel with the switch and then gently pull the panel off the 2 wires to gether are the parkers pritty sure they are gray

If your acually looking to remove and replace the switch from the dash surround pannel, all you have to do is Prize the switch part off. To do that get a little flat bladed screwdriver and put it into the side where the dimmer switch is and slowly work it off. You should be able to work out the rest from there.
