im just wondering what tool to use to remove the diff centre i can get it out with a big leaver but there has to be a tool that would make it easier, if so what is it called and how is it operated. any feedback is much appreciated. cheers

Never done it but I guess you mean a spreader to open the housing wider to allow the crownwheel/pinion/diff assembly to exit the housing. I think a lever could possibly distort the case - a spreader applies pressure evenly to reduce the possibility of distorting the case. They are shaped like a big H with a nut and thread at the bottom of the H which forces the top of the H to spread or widen (so you force it to more of a V shape).
