Removing door snibs

Hi all,
any tips on an easy way to get the door lock button of the door lock rod? i've tried making the tool described in the gregorys manuual but cant for the life of m get it fown the side of the lock snib and the plastic surround.??
I cant get the door panel right off without getting it out.

Yep same here. i just used a flat head screw driver and stuck it into the side of the orange bit and clicked it out no prob. that so called tool that i spent 10 minutes makeing was not going to work from what i could see after takeing it out "waist of time"

i have no idea wat tool ur talking about in gregory's but my flat head worked fine, didn't do any damage either
