You don’t need too. Just allow a couple of good hours to do the job properly, and make sure you do it so the gasket maker that goes on top of the actual spacers has enough to dry before starting the car

Awesome cheers mate, yea it’ll have a couple of day to dry while I do some things. I will post up my next problem after I get comfortable later on haha

No worries! If I recall correctly, when I did the manifold spacers on my old SV6, I had to remove a connector on the back of the manifold, however the instructions pointed to another connector which was irrelevant. I was heaps confused.

Next thing is, I have to remove a snapped bolt from the block which I over torqued some time ago. Turns out it snapped a bit further down than I would have liked, so I have to remove the inlet manifold and rockers to get to it with the easy out. Sadly it has an aftermarket LPG vapour system in the way, I need to know if I can remove these little hoses that run from the LPG injectors to the inlet manifold so I can remove it and the rockers. Will drop some pictures for reference.

I’ve got no clue about LPG. Maybe someone can chime in?

Pretty sure I know the answer, just wanted a second opinion. Would I need to drain the oil if I am removing the manifold to install insulators?

Cheers
What?
Nah man. Just undo the bolts. Install the insulators. I’ve done quite a few. I use two sets of metal gaskets instead of blue gasket maker. That sht is horrid to remove if the manifold has to come off for simple servicing. On one set of gaskets, I cut off the nodules.

Retorque to 25Nm when reinstalling the intake plenum.

Make sure the PCV hoses are soft. Make sure they aren’t clogged with grot.
Make sure you do the PCV mod.
