Repairing Heater control panel lamps

How do I go about replacing the heater panel lamps in my VT?
Any help gratefully accepted.

All you have to do is take off the dash inserts.
Start with the little one surrounding the gear selector, the the bigger half.
Once off simply remove the heater controls, there are small globes on the back of it.
I've done it so many times now. . . . :bang:

I tried removing the dash panels yesterday; no probs 'til around the top of the radio unit, the panel seems to be FIRMLY attached!! Any suggestions as to how to remove it without breakage? I appreciate your help as I prefer to do it myself, rather than pay a GMH dealer $130 to do it.
