hey guys. sorry for such a lame tpoic but i cant find my VT workshop manual, and i need to replace my mode switch and was wondering can i just pry it out and snap the new one in? or do i have to remove the dash???

Being lazy, I was about to try and just reef it out, but if thats a bad idea, let me know.

Take the dash out, there's little clips on the side of the mounting. If you reef it out, things will break.

I got a small blade screwdriver on the front of mine and levered it out. Worked well and didnt break anything at all, its just an odd shape

You could probably just get it out, but, with the age of the Dash plastics and the sake of 10mins - it'd pay to take it out from the back.

Also I know someone who tried it and ended up cracking the front of the dash.
