Hi guys, my pads need a replacement (front and rear) and the fronts need new rotors (as per my mechanic).

Seeing that I'm just about to dump $1K+ on some brakes and rotors it got me thinking about whether I should upgrade at the same time.

Right now I'm leaning towards some dba 2000 slotted rotors and bendix ultimate pads.

Can anyone recommend anything else?

My car is stock. I'm really not sure if it came with the upgraded brake package but it seems like just the normal (non redline/brembo). No track work, just used as a cruiser to and from work with the odd squirt

Braided lines also a possibility while you are in there.

Dunno if they are still available but Ferodo DS Performance pads would go nicely on plain 4000 series rotors. Very grippy al mu of 0.46 which from my experience occurs all the way from cold to smoking :) Bit dusty so hopefully with dark coloured wheels...

Thanks guys, do you know the exact p/n for the plain rotors??

When I search on the dba website I get these two (attached). Is that correct?

I also noticed the 4000 series is like double the $ as the 2000 series. Is there any reason I should keep away from the 2000?

Also I noticed that maybe the highlighted ones might be bigger than the stock o ez, do I need to measure/compare? Or can I commit? Sparesbox tells me that they don't fit.

The correct part numbers would be DBA42028 for the front (or 2028 if you wanted the street series) and DBA42029 or (2029 for street)

The ones you circled are for brembo brake rear and the police brake upgrade for fronts.

If you have standard, unmodified V8 brakes tthen the numberrs I've put are correct.

Thanks.

Weird that dba website didn't recommend them.

It does.
First list under rotors. To see the 4000 series you gotta 'click for alternates'

Could probably get away with regular street series ones on the back since do less work than the fronts, so less likely to wear as fast or warp... fronts will get pretty hot quite easily if you use grippy pads.

give brakes direct a call, they are usually pretty good to assist.
