Hi All,
I want to re use a mobile phone antenna after having a windscreen replaced. You all know the type. Pull off the backing and whack both parts ob either side of the widscreen.
What type of glue would I use to restick it to the new windscreen?
Hope you can help
Cheers

yeh, was gonna say, the mirror glue from loctite, but dont expect to get it off again, as that stuff can actually break the window if you try to take it off.

failing that, superglue, urethane.

whatever you choose, make sure the windows real clean, along with base of antenna.

I had another look and it when I scraped of what was left off the external antenna it seemed like a double sided tape of some kind. It was soft, about 2mm rhick and sticky. Anybody know where I would get something similar

supermarkets sell rolls of it and little 2cm square patches.

so do most auto shops(autobarn, supercheap) but supermarket is cheaper.

Also Bunnings (need more sales so my shares go up:p)
Just get some mounting tape. Its what you use to hold mirrors up. Strongest double sided tape there is.

I once had to re-stick the rear view mirror to a car.

I found a "kit" for this purpose (auto shops should stock them) and it was brilliant. As someone else said, don't expect to get it off again. Other than that, I guess a good brand double-sided tape, which is what I think they use.
