G'day all,
I've recently purchased a VU '02 ute with V6 Getrag.

I replaced the clutch [ solid flywheel] & gearbox.

The problem i have, that when changing thru the gears, the engine revs wont drop for about 2 seconds.

I've checked the throttle return spring for binding & lubricated it, but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions on what to check?

Regards, Col.

Very Common and I think most of us here that have a V6 manual have the same issue.

Hoists cost about as much as a decent set of rims these day, except they fit more cars.

Linky to a fix?, or am i stuck with this issue?

Check you haven't knocked a vacuum hose off somewhere.
Maybe clean your throttle body and in particular the IAC valve.
