rpm at 100kph

hey guys

been talking with mates and my VT does 100kph at 2000rpm. this is a stock standard vt acclaim no mods at all. is this 2k rpm normal? mates so its a bit high

is it auto or manual transmission? and assuming V6 engine.....

For an auto it is high, should be about 1800 rpm. If it's a manual then I think it's right on the money.

Yeah its an auto v6

So should be 1800ish? looked again today and it was a bit below the 2k line on the dash

Perhaps your torque converter lockup is not happening.

VX II Acclaim Wagon.
My VX v6 auto at 100kmh is a tad under 2000rpm, so prob the same at about 1800rpm.

Seems OK to me.

Perhaps your dash Tacho is out. It's not uncommon.

Press and hold the Mode and Down arrow buttons while starting the car
and scroll through (using the mode button), until you get to the Tacho option.
 
Top
