Mine were gutter rashed like that when I bought my car.

I just got them blasted and powder coated black,

The blasting smoothed the gutter rash out and unless you're really looking, you can't see it.

And that's what you want, ' looks good to the eye'
as when they were shadow chrome and gutter rashed, they were an eyesore,
always catching someone else's eye, with a mandatory ' What happened there' comment .

I would say get them repaired and powedercoated.

I had my SSV rims, three with gutter rash, repaired blasted and coated for $300! Best powder coating job I've ever seen!

I've seen work done by Craved Coatings in Penrith, Brookvale Powdercoating, Precision Coating Services in Seven Hills and North Shore Powder Coating in Artarmon. All seem fine. Unsure if they do the repairs or if they outsource.
