The gearbox comes out and can be done on the car.
$400-$500 labour.

Mate judging by your reply’s peoples threads you really don’t know what your talking about....
If you knew anything about LS engines and the issues that the AFM set up can cause to your lifters and your heads you wouldn't be saying that champ...I can link you multiple vids on you tube if you want....

My apologies if I miss understood your comment and I do know what you mean about afm cam and lifter problems but how’s that related to a rear main seal replacement?

The old 5ltr “Iron Lion” (Nods at Woody) was a much tougher rear main to do.

You'll need to take the engine out. Probably $1000 in labour ...

You don't need to remove the engine to do the rear main seal
You only need to drop the box out to replace it

Depends if you want it done the proper way or the half-assed way

There is nothing half assed about removing the gearbox to do the rear main
Can you please explain the proper way to do it then if removing the gearbox is so half-assed, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of members here who have been doing it the wrong way for years now, and would really love to know how to do it properly

If you knew anything about LS engines....

This part of your reply is quite hilarious to say the least, considering your previous posts actually highlight just how little knowledge you have on the LS engines
Just a little word of advice......Maybe spend a lot more time learning about something before posting online about it

Yeah... maybe

More along the lines of I just realised "I don't actually have a clue" and now "I've made myself look like a Goose"
