Recently sold my vy ss ute because I rarely used it as a ute anymore and was sick of not having any back seats. Mate of mine had this Sv8 and decided he wanted to sell up so i grabbed it at a very good price. Its my daily driver so nothing to over the top will be happening, mainly some visual mods till im happy with how it looks, and more than likely basic engine mods so it keeps me entertained to drive day to day.

So this is how it first looked.

was given a fresh cut and polish a few months before i bought it.

only mods were Ultra lows at all four corners, fresh shortstroke front shocks, Full exhaust consisting of try y pacies, hi flow cats, redback 2 1/2'' catback.

so that last picture is what it looked like when i picked it up. Straight away i wanted to chuck so differnt wheels on it, had some 19'' VE SSV's lying around so chucked them on for a week or so while i sourced something a bit bigger.

Found some 20'' supersports with some minor rash for a reasonable price so I bought them got the tyres stripped, got the rash repaired and wheels resprayed in a metalic light blue/silver colour.

In my opinion they look wicked against the red. Next was window tint, removed the old faded/peeling tint and replaced it with 20%

(doesnt look very dark in that photo)

Also took the rear spoiler off for the time being as it was the only part of the car that had clear coat peeling off and am looking to get a senator lip spoiler so i can still have a center brake light.

thats where its at for the moment, am looking at a few more visual things including the senator spolier lip and possibly roof spoiler to match. and am planning on getting a otr intake and tune done very shortly.

Had a old catback system at work from a customers car we replaced with a full pacemaker system so i grabbed the rear section and put it onto mine to get rid of the muffler that was robbing me of a nice exhuast note.

Ye same thing

Was just wondering as i recently purchased some Ultra Lows for my VY with SSV's and was hoping it would tuck a little rim. :(

May be time to have a look for some VS SSSL's

ah ok. whenn driving it probably will. it is real close to tucking rim with the 20's. as soon as i put it into drive it tucks a bit.

Other news just had to replace my drivers window regulator, window got stuck up. turns out the switch is dodgy and kept trying to put the window up even when it was all the way up, burnt out the motor. so the switch will be replaced too.
