Hey
I have removed the front seat belt outa a vt as it wasnt retracting and a guy at a smash repairer said sometimes just give them a blow out and it sometimes frees them up cos they clog up with fluff and hair and dirt, so I have removed the big seat belt winder and now I can't get it to extend back out, it retracts but won't let go. Is there a little clip I need to press or what?
Any help would be helpful.
Thanks

There's a bit of a knack to it, if I recall correctly from when I had mine out, you need to make sure there's no belt tension on the winder part, then slightly shake the winder a little then without moving fast or sideways pull the winder straight down.

That's right. Any attempt to pull it when not straight will make it lock.

When reinstalling it's important to make sure the bottom mount is aligned to allow the belt to run straight or you will have that annoying problem where the belt tries to latch 8-10 times every time someone tries to put the belt on.
