seatbelt warning chimes

Hi, i noticed on the weekend that a different chime sounded when i was doing some slow driving. I was only doing 5-10 kays and a different chime sounded. I am assuming it was a seatbelt chime cause if it wasnt i dont know what it was for. I looked through my owners manual and found that a chime will go after a certain amount of slow driving but doesnt say its different. Can anyone confirm its a different seatbelt chime?

yes it a seatbelt waring tone and it comes on when you go over 10 for more than 10 secs i think.

Handbrake also has a warning chime, maybe it was on slightly.

How many models have the seatbelt chime? I do not think mine does (Feb 03 VY "s").

Mines a Series VY and it has it, goes off even if you have the car sitting there with the ngine running..

The seatbelt chime can also be disabled with Tech 2.

Mine's a VY SS S1 and it doesn't have the seatbelt chime.

its not actually illegal its just not recommended by Holden

we do it a lot for tradies with utes etc so they can move trailers etc around sites without it going off.
