Good morning ladies and gentlemen I was just wondering if a motor is seized is there anyway to get it back going again without buying a replacement motor? Cheers

.. depends on what caused it to seize.

a rod thru the block = a new motor aint no way around that
a cylinder full of coolant may ...may not be fixable easily

Nope. The only engine seizure that I've seen move again is a nip-up after a no-coolant overheat. The pistons still leave material on the bore, but it'll run again.

In my experience if the motor doesn't move with the starter motor or breaker bar, the internal rust/damage is too severe to ever run again.

Depends on what caused it to seize....tad more info required.

Rusted bores, overheated it untill it stopped, dropped a valve, ingested water, lost oil pressure or too much nos

Could possibly be stripped down and rebuilt maybe not depending on the damage but it’s probably cheaper to get another engine unless your really hell bent on keeping your original

For what's its worth,
Don't waste you time,
as soon as you find one thing, you find another, and another
So where do you stop the repair,
I recently helped my nephew replace his LFX [in his VE that seized] which Cost him $550 [Complete Motor] from the wreckers ,
that also included them to pull it out of the donor car.
6 hours to get the old seized one out,
5 hours to get the replacement in and fired up.
And runs perfectly.
