Series 1 or 2???

At what stage or month/year did the vr commodores change from series 1 to the series 2 models, and what if any are the differences????

Must be early 1996 it changed to S2 i think, as mine is S1 and Dec 1995.

Differences include painted door handles and a few other things I think...nothing major

VR series 2 were made from DEC 1994 till April 1995 they added the speed alert , and the chiming noises for having the hand brake on and low fuel and some other small stuff

...and the windscreen washers changed from single jet nozzles to dual jet, and the left hand side mirror on the series 2 is a convex one ("objects in this mirror are closer than they appear")

all in all not really anything ground breaking!

also on the series one the rear view mirror is mounted on the roof, series two onwards its stuck to the windscreen only

mines a 93 series 1 with all the above
