Hey guys,

Needing peoples thoughts/opinions.

First it’s a series 1 VT V6 252000kms

Now every so often on my partners car, when she goes to start is (hot or cold) the car will go to crank once (not fully start) then cut out for a couple seconds, when she holds the key the car re cranks again and starts like normal.
It was only happening every so often but it’s now coming more frequent, no check engine lights or anything on the dash is coming on.
But first thing in the morning or driving after the car sitting for a while, the car up and go fine but after a while of driving especially in hot weather, the car loses power as in it struggles to up and go but leave the car over night then the next day, it’s fine till it’s been driven a lot then loses power to move again.
I thought maybe coz it’s an older car, they tend to struggle more in the head but I don’t fully know.
Now the following parts have been replaced and are new or 6-12 months old-

DFI module (new like month ago)
Coil Packs (new like month ago)
Plugs (12 months old with iridium plugs)
Leads (12 months old, top gun leads)
Alternator replaced new (12 months old)
Starter motor replaced new (12 months old)
Battery replaced new (yellow top) roughly 6 months old)

Any ideas on what her problem could be that would be fantastic.
Cheers

assuming you are using oem parts
if not then throw your list in the bin
i would be swapping out the start relay under the bonnet
and replacing the fuel filter
possibly a crank angle sensor, but the symptoms dont quite match
