Series 2 IQ head unit problems stereo

For some reason my stereo still stays on after the ignition is off car is locked. Can stay on for hours. I know that it should turn off after the drivers side door is open, doesn't do it anymore. I changed my key but kept the same settings. Car is still under warranty , but should I disconnect the battery and see if it go back to normal?

Is a common problem, take it to a dealer for warranty and they will replace the switch that sensors the door is closed
