VE2 SV6 SPORTWAGON
Hi,

got a 2006 SV6 wagon (auto) on offer to me for $22k (108K on the clock)

is there major services due I need to know about?
any known issues to look for on this?

I am limited on options around here, but don' have to rush the purchase - something always comes a long, but this one does look good based on the extras (roo bar, tow hitch, etc)

Thanks,
Des

the main issue is you have posted in the "ve" section and ve wagons wern't out in 2006

There was a VZ (SVZ) wagon produced but I can't find any reference to an SV6 wagon. (Ref: 60 Yrs of Holden - complete encyclopedia of all models.)

well australia schedule is every 15,000km,

15,000km or 1 year I think.

I've had my SSV for exactly one year now, but it's only done 9,000km. Do you think I still need to get it serviced, or wait till I rack up 15,000km?

Check the Owners Handbook. Your first service would have been at 3,000 the next is due at 12 months or 15,000 km - whichever comes first.

Hence why I said this:

15,000km or 1 year I think.

I was just looking for people's opinions as to whether it's really necessary, given the low k's.

Thanks Jason.

to be honnest if high quality lubricants and coolants are use it is not strictly nessacery if you aint doing the kays but if for any reason a fluid failure causes damage you will struggle to get a claim through its just not worth the risk

:hmmm: Yeah thats what I thought.
So it's more of an ass-covering excercise (and a money maker for Holden) rather than a real necessity for the engine.
...I spose I'll book it in for next week...
