Driving into work tonight and had the service vehicle soon message came up on the dash. The kms are 163457, so no where near the service book 160000 or 170000. Add to that it was only serviced two weeks ago. Not sure why it is coming up, no error messages come up and system check always comes up ok.

My question is how to I get rid of it?
Cheers for any help.

It has nothing to do with your vehicle needing a scheduled service by the kilometres travelled.

Basically what happened is your car has detected that something isn't or wasn't right at that time and it was just alerting you to this fact.
For piece of mind just get the car scanned for Trouble Codes as it will have stored a code after the "service vehicle soon" warning came up.
Report back here with what the code was and someone will be able to guide you on your next course of action.

I think I remember having that in another vz and fitted a new oil pressure switch which solved the problem.

Nail on the head there Rambunctious, oil pressure binnacle gauge reading 0.

How much did it cost to fit a new one?

Had similar SVS on VZ SS. Was oil pressure switch, bought a cheapy off eBay for $23, leaked after 3 days. Then bought a Tridon for $65.

Oil pressure switch was my problem just after oil change. $72 supply and fit genuine by a local mechanic.

Hi guys had the SVS on my VZ, replaced the oil pressure switch and still get it popping up, I will get it scanned as I know it’s a non-emissions fault but any ideas as what else it cold possibly be? Cheers.
