A rellie is on dexamfetamine (spelling) and it ain't for dietary purposes....It's for sleep apenia....He has to take them to prevent him from falling asleep at the drop of a hat....

Hey mate, interesting that you mentioned your relation being prescribed it to treat sleep apnea. The long distance lorry drivers in the U.S. used amphetamines to keep them awake 1920-30ish. They ended up banning it. Been around for a long long time.

Hitler took it too... among other drugs.

Truck drivers used it to stay awake days on end... that was the problem with it. Under care, controlled dosages, and managed by quacks... probably not the same. And I would suggest they were doing it long after the 30s in the US. Was common here until the system, insurers and employers got heavy with truck drivers and testing. Id say it still happens but not to the extent it used too.
