the 22lr is set up with the high velocity rounds, and with the subs will still put holes in the sheds etc around the place.

We use 22LR Rat Shot around sheds/barns for birds and rats, very rarely it leaves a dent/mark on the tin. Use a .177 Crossman semi auto for shooting birds around the house to not damage the eaves.

40mm in close quarters! Remind me to stay clear of the kiwis when the **** hits the fan! Hahaha
Even though I have two, I've never understood the hype with a .223

It must be a US thing, soldiers kill soldiers, anything else they just hit it with air power, artillery or any of the other heavy weapons available to them.

And, on that note, the US launched a new destroyer today for sea trials, It rumoured to be the platform for the new electromagnetic rail gun the US navy is developing like the one seen in Transformers. Launches a projectile at Mach 7 at targets up to 110 miles range.

So, I'm looking at getting an air rifle, most likely a .22 break action. Will be mainly used for bunnies, plinking and the occasional feral bird.

Does anyone have much experience with any brand/style in particular. If so, what do you like/hate about it, noise, accuracy, weight etc.

I don't want the cheapest one I can get, would rather pay a bit more for some quality.

Okay, I bought a Remington Genesis .177 a few year back , great power 1000fps, really destroys sparrows, bunnies no prob

but that's it's downfall, as it's kick shakes the sh1t out everything, screws come loose , had to lock tite them

and when it's dialed in and every things tight , it's clover leaf group accurate

and now it's got barrel droop, a real pain cos the where the scope is mounted is no relation to the barrel,

My advice is get a fixed barrel air rifle .

Why not just run a .22lr with subs?
Only if your neigbours at least a kay away,
coz even with zeds they go thru things.

Not 100% true. Military issues ammo must stay on base, you can purchase your own to use in your issued rifle.
