Members opinions welcome. Got the t5 in my kit car.

Curious of the pros and cons

Ive run the cube shifter before good unit.

Pros makes it shorter and stiffer.

Cons cost , slightly more pressure on the synchros and increased notchiness.

I run the Billet shifter on my T5.

As above, shorter throw and feels more mechanical, improves the 2-3 shift.

Can put more load on the synchros as mentioned above but most modern short shifters have shift stops fitted which when set correctly should minimize this problem.

Definitely worth doing IMHO.

I have a Mal Woods short shifter, shorter throw and huge improvement in 2 - 3 shift.

And automatic transmission fluid in the gearbox, Castrol Transmax Z. That advice from Mal Woods.
