it keeps everything coooler and with a best of 6.9ltrs/100km's i must be doing something right although power is the reason. cooler for making power, hotter for economy is they way it goes. with my setup my entire intake stays cool upto the TB which is only warm to touch ever after absolutly abusing it. normally you'd burn your hand if you touched it after fanging around for a while.

i've also altered my thermo fan settings so it never gets much over 90degrees

In the couple of years that i've had the cooler thermostat in, my fan has only kicked in three times at low speed and never kicked into high speed (note that this is my daily driver and gets driven a lot). It sits right on the first line on the gauge and really doesn't move much from there, I have to sit stationary for a LOOONG time for it to reach the point where the thermo fan will start up, red lights just dont last that long.

However traffic jams do.
