Is anyone else watching the Livestream out of Florida?
Already seen 5 cars run in the 6's and I expect I missed the boostmaster 2 wagon which should have also ran 6's.
Saw one car go 8.509 which should be very competitive if they are running an 8.5 index class.

Yeah just saw this now. Driveshaft uni died. Fixed that, diff head then broke (potentially too much track prep for big tyre car) but he got that fixed. I hope he hasn't broken again.
I'm going to look up where Tony Angelo is at with his Pontiac. Saw him driving in the gate in the background of a video, but haven't seen any of his updates yet.

Tom bailey, broken trans, he's out of competition.
Steve Morris, broken driveshaft universal (again) and driveshaft yoke. He's out.
The two fastest swedes have gone 6.5 and 6.4 on days one and two respectively, so should be a good comp at the pointy end.

Built on Mighty Car Mods with all the crew but Benny bought it. I've seen it run, low 8's.

Lots of carnage, SM is out with transmission and drive shaft issues, Bailey is out with a trans failure of some sort.

I did see Tony D'angelo run in a Firebird?

McFlurry is out with a deathly engine knock, Soccer mom been having trans problems.

What's 'mcflurry'? I don't know that one.
I just saw tony Angelo run 11.0 against Alex Taylor 6.96. both doing well. That is a PB for TA I think. And announcer may have said that's 4 days in a row of 6's for Alex.

I always enjoy the fierce 8.50 classes.
I just saw an 8.500, followed by an unfortunate 8.499 the next run. And a couple runs later a racer runs 8.501
Like WOW how do they dial it in so damn perfect to run a number!?

Both McFarland cars (mcflurry and mullet) are now out

Yup.

McFlurry is a white fox body mustang the cleetus crew built with a stock Ford Godzilla motor with twin turbskies. They were pushing well over 1000hp on a stock block and probably the reason it failed.

Same with Mullet, it has a SM big block in it designed for 2500hp but been pushed into the 3500hp range and running into the 6.50's. I see a SMX under the bonnet coming soon to a youtube channel near you.

Alex Taylor is pushing hard for a 6 second average, looks like they finally found the gremlin that has been plaguing that car since the early days after it was built.
