Hey guys, I sold the VS and got a new wagon so here it is!

Got it over a month ago so I've been pretty slack with making a new build log to keep whomever may be interested up to date..
So here she is!

Pic from the night I bought it.
From most of this:

Couple more pics.
Audio system is bone stock, which means the wiring harness is still in tact!

As you saw from the licence plate, the new wagon is dual fuel and it's currently saving me $30+ every time I fill up :)
So where is this magical tank then?

Sneaky sneaky 55L gas tank!

So that obviously means I have maximum room still for a sub box :p

More to come in the next post.

Well, there hasn't been much worth updating since I got the car, but I'll let you guys know what's been happening!

Replaced the POS battery that came with the car for my D3400, the stock earth wouldn't reach so we improvised.
It works and that's what matters, this will be re-visited soon enough, properly..

Had a LPG backfire within the first week, which split nearly all the air intake pipe ribs.
Was fixed by the dealership with electrical tape, which melted the glue from the tape and just peeled off, genius!!

Replaced the intake pipe and done a major service- all oils and filters, spark plugs and leads, the usual!

Found a pair of VY wiper and indicator stalks WITH plugs, as the plugs are different for VXII onwards.

Got rid of those aidz ass wheels for some mint VX Berlina wheels, then got some fresh tread for them too :)

Put my P80RS in, just awaiting the new Aerpro VT-VX facia which should be here in the next couple weeks!
No pics because everyone knows what a HU in a car looks like :p

Alternator regulator fried, gauge needles dropped when driving and the batt and ABS lights came on so I pulled over, checked the voltage and it was at 17.2V, ouch!

Okay, so the bass bug may have bitten me, but bitten me damn hard...
Doing a temp install similar to my last one in the VS for the final round of SOSS this year, so much for doing it once and doing it right LOL.

To start off, I felt like splashing the cash and got 9M of Shok Industries Competition OFC :D

That's it, until next time...

VX II Acclaim Wagon.
What was the point of the VY wiper and indicator stalks ? The VY look the same as my VX II but mine's an Acclaim. Is your's Exec ?

BTW you need to change your 'Ride'.

This is a VX series 1 (Acclaim) which still had the giant knob stalks, I prefer the later model ones anyway :)
Main reason for changing them was that both stalks had stupid amounts of play in them and the indicator didn't cancel after going around a corner.

It was a pretty straight forward swap, all the wiring was the same color so it was cut, match, solder, tape, done.

Still, its part of the joy for modding cars :)

Picked up a pair of altezza headlights with projector lenses.
Some guy bought for his VU and didn't like them once installed.
Only used for a day then I bought them for $225

Not a bad pick up m8 with the gas tank included. How many kms roughly do you get from the smaller gas tank? Wanted to get mine on gas but hate the big tanks behind the seat..

Well, it's been a long time since I've updated this thread, so I'll kick start this shiznit again (for those that view it) :p

Kind of went mad and put a couple of drop in sub stage setups in for comps..

First, installed the new Aerpro single din facia kit for VT-VX, sweet!
post-46873-141376626827.jpg

This setup netted a 151.1db @45Hz, was fun to beat on while it lasted.

Next one was a bigger, more badass box for my two prototype 18" subs!
Bunnings screwed up at the register, so I only paid $30ish for 3 sheets of 16mm MDF LOL.

My mates piss farting around, discussing how stupid this is going to be (in a good way)

Each corner of the box got a steel radius to maximize efficiency in air flow.
Gotta make that cable as neat as possible!

Big f*ck off radius round overs on the front, again.

For size reference, my mate is similar size to me, and because lolz.

Few pics of installation.

Then me and 10 other guys haulled ass to Echuca Moama for a car audio event one weekend and cleaned up quite nicely.
By cleaning up, I mean winning most of the trophies LOL!
Best score I got from that setup was 151.5db @41hz musically.

Done hair tricks too!!

Then I broke one sub and it was over.
