I have slotted & dimpled but RDAs not cheapies. If not going expensive slotteds then probably really no point as the slots are mainly there for degassing when you're on them hard like racing. If racing you wouldn't use cheapies anyway. Decent RDA or DBA street series are plenty adequate in most conditions and they come in at around 80 - 90 bucks a pair, if you know where to buy them.

Depends on how you drive, if you like to cook the brakes than it's worth the upgrade.

We have four of the ADB slotted rotors for when towing the camper or trailer and they do an amazing job.
Just for normal driving conditions I couldn't see the worth in replacing all four but hey if having them makes you hard then why not.
For the towing I'm about the replace all four rotors on our Subaru Outback and oh yes they make me hard.

HSV VS Maloo , 2002 Monaro
Replaced the front discs with DBA slotted/dimpled, new caliper pistons , seals , slide pins all round new pads and fluid on the vs maloo the other year = made a noticeable difference.
It's not as good a feel/ guess braking as the daily ( 2015 i30).
Got harrop 343 slotted/ vented discs and 4 spot calipers all round on the v2 monaro = talk about planting your face in the windscreen ( and the newer cars are even better/ bigger).

Brakes are only as good as the tyres your running as well = the bits that contact the road.

I got some slotted rotors at a clearance sale, can't remember what brand they were. I don't drive like Lewis Hamilton, but after driving though a flooded road, they still stopped pretty good, so was worth it.
