Some Questions from a new VF Calais Owner

Is there a power/economy button in the vf? I had one on the v6 camry.

Also do any of the models have powered folding side mirrors?

And what command do you give in the voice recognition system to stop the gps from heading for a previously entered destination? At the moment i have to turn the ignition off.

Nope. But you can select Sport Shift mode by moving the gear lever to the left when in Drive. This is equivalent to Power mode, because the transmission will delay upshifts and allow earlier downshifts.

Nope.

Try "Cancel guidance".

Another question I have

I use the remote start to power up the car when I walk out the door and then I hop in.

The radio is off and then I put my foot on the brake and put the car in Drive.

The car then stops!! I have to start it again..

So much for auto start when it stops when I put it in Drive!

Is this correct?

Do I need to push the start/stop button before I put the car in Gear to drive away perhaps?

You need to put your foot on the brake and press the ignition button, then you can pull it out of park.

Yes this is correct , you need to be in the car and hit the start button. It is for security and based on proximity to the key fob so your car can't be stolen when you remote start.

It has been rather barro' to be showing the friends the remote start and then the car stops when I put it in gear.

Another Q, is there somewhere I can see what voice commands the assistant knows? most commands I try it either does not understand me or else gives me something I did not ask for. There are a few in the used guide I noticed.

Try "Help". Also, try using an American accent -- she seems to understand that better than an Aussie one.

Trying to work out which parts of the drivers seat are leather? Are the edges under my legs? Or just the perforated parts? I assume the back and sides are vinyl.

They're hopeless with South African accents as well , who'd of thought . I'll have to practice my Noo Zulund eccent
