as the title says. is it possible to take the sump of a 308 in a hz kingswood while the motor is still in.
or do you either have to take the motor out OR unbolt the engine mounts and just lift the motor???
i was told ages ago in a commodore it is quicker to just take the motor out.
can a mod please change somp to sump. thanks

vp s utility,and a KENWORTH
The time ya spend tryin to get around under the car, would far outwiegh the time to remove the engine and do it properly, not to mention less bark of ya knuckles, been down that path before.

boots was talking to beaver and he seems to think it is a blocked oil pickup. i am still thinking it is the oil pump.
he is going to get a new oil pump and we will try that. and if the motor has to come out i told him he will just have to sit it there for a while cos i want to do something on my own cars

well it sounds like its got oil pressure and just a faulty lifter.... they where new lifters?

i dont think it would have been neglected that much that the pick up is blocked, you shoul rip the pump off the vn at your place and see if that makes any diffeerrence to gauge
