looks like you can get an iwata w400 direct from japan off ebay now. this one is the lv2 with a 1.4 for under $250 shipped. thats a pretty good deal (no pot though). most cheap chinese gravity cups will screw into though (i use one on mine).

Are gravity fed guns better then the ones that mount to the bottom or is it just personal preference?

Thanks for the link!

i like gravity fed better, your less likely to bang a gravity cup off the car. siphon pots are right in the way of what your painting. the last thing you want is to smack a metal pot off your newly based or cleared panel. prevention is better then a cure.

I have heard of the workquip guns being good value for money.

Yea i have one of these. For what i do with it its perfect value for money. Comes with 3 sized tips too which has been handy. Regardless of how much you spend though just gotta keep them clean

lol to clean my gun:
fill the pot 1/5th with thinner and flush it through
wipe out pot ond lid
fill 1/5th thinner and put your finger over the tip, trigger at full pressure for a few seconds till the colour stops coming out
squirt it all out
take out needle and spring, drop it in the cup
replace lid
put on the shelf
drink beer

then about once a year pull it down and replace the seals :p

+1. I have one of these too. My biggest problem though I admit, is lack of experience haha.
