Hey
So apparently a 09 SSV headunit will fit in a 06 omega. But the seller doesn't know for sure.

Does anyone know if it actually will and does anyone know where and how to get it reprogrammed??

Thanks :)

I would ask ZeroneV as it most likely would require new surrounds etc. and he knows a lot about it, also it may be required to be re programmed and i think it's Doubledip that does that.

Either way those guys will know what's possible and what's not, it might be possible but could also be cost prohibitive with requiring too many other parts to work properly.

Here is a video of iPod integration on the SSV Screen, But if you look closely you'll notice it has been installed in to and OMEGA!

Some people here just dont know what they are talking about...

Talk to Justin from Ultimate Conversion Wiring, He'll sort you out easy

Ultimate Conversion Wiring - Commodore Module Modifications

Yep, Justin is a member on here (DoubleDip) and very very knowledgeable with this sort of stuff.
He can even enable the VIM (Video in motion) if you so require.

You also may want to have a look around a bit more though on the headunit.
That one looks pretty grubby for $500.

I have seen ones in much better condition for less (Though those models are the grey / silver Calais/HSV models).

You will also need to upgrade your HVAC controller to support DZ.
Check to see if the auction supplies this (It will still require modding by Ultimate Conversion Wiring), but at least this may make things easier in terms of sending up for programming and modification.
Otherwise Justin can supply a modified one if required.

Didnt say it couldnt be done, I said it's not plug and play.
If you want the radio and all the HVAC controls to work as a stock unit, there's a lot more that needs to be done than just buying the unit itself.
