I'm on my 3rd pair of Eagle F1 Supersport's (245/45/18). I have also rotated from front to back a pair of PS4s. For me, the F1's make me a better driver in the dry on the legal(ish) limit. PS4s a very close second, but for different reasons. I think F1's are a love or hate kind of tyre. Can't go wrong in general with the PS4s.

Seems the general consensus is still with the PS4S.

Over in here in WA - can't get them in 245/40R19 at the moment, only the Mercedes OE ones. I'm assuming same same, just more $ ?

I do have the Falken FK510's on it at the moment... they don't seem to last though.

I think you will find is the Mercedes ones are run flat, which is why they will be more expensive. Run flat are normally factory on late Merc's as they need them for their freeways. I know people who have had them and didn't like them on local roads as they apparently feel the bumps a lot more. Might be ok on Perth WA roads?

Run flats give a harsher ride no matter what roads you drive on.

When you lift them, they weight about 5 times the weight of a normal tyre.....They have a stack of rubber within the tyre to give it more support for it to hold together if it goes flat, so people can make it to a place to fix it or replace it without it disintergrating..

IMA, bloody useless in Aussieland especially if you are heading out of surburbia

I also suspect they'd be useless as a performance based tyre

P-Zero is a range rather than a model these days, innit?
Which ones are PS4S competitors?

Could be right. It's been a while since I was looking for tyres. I went with RE003s I think? But I needed tyres in a hurry as I had a flat and was down to the limits on the rears and these were in stock. I have been told they are a good tyre but others say there are better tyres out there.

Yesterday at sandown was awesome. I am a novice at track days but the the ps4s were amazing. The tyre did not complain at all. They might have made me a better driver than what i am ;)
Ps4s are sport road tyre and ok for the odd track day.
I met another guy there with 003 and he was fast.
Happy with my choice. I think i will put race brake fluid in next time.
