Well I'd say a twin 3" would be even more overkill on a 5.7l. Glad I could help AND debunk the myth about 2.5" not being big enough.
Yeah like I said im still wondering what his torque numbers are where his max power is gained. I imagine yours is low to mid whereas he is mid to high range.
Im looking at a 232/234 or 224/230 cam (just the standard grinds on the GM Motorsport website, so when I go to talk to Chev's it will probably change)
Looking at 4 into 1's Ballistic Cats and twin 2 and a half.
