Can anyone help with 2 pin alternator wiring on standalone loom where do the two wires off plug go to, cheers Adrian

usually sensing, indicator/fail/dashlight have you got pic of where you want to go and the wiring

Doing a standalone loom in my vu drag ute

usually sensing, indicator/fail/dashlight have you got pic of where you want to go and the wiring
Don't know where the 2 wires in the alternator plug need to go ,know they did go to dash but not using standard dash

what setup are you trying to put it into, with early holdens with engine transplant its quite easy

Hey yeh, ls1 turbo in vu drag ute and I have done standalone loom but don't know where the two wires off 2 pin plug go, cheers Adrian

White is battery positive, and Brown is charge indicator.

Brown is circuit 25, charge indicator. Connect this wire to the wire on the car that went to terminal 1 on the old alternator. If the VU was a V6 originally, it will have had an internally regulated alternator with a wire going to terminal 1.

I did a swap into a VC and it had a 5L. I connected the wire off the original alternator that went to the charge light to the brown wire from that plug and it worked.
