Standard vr 3.8 methanol mix??

Have a burnout car that is a vr 3.8 car runs well with plenty of power (for a 3.8) but as always I want more someone on here must have tried a methanol mix on there old Buik id be interested to se how it went and what they changed cheers (also I no methanol is corrosive ect ect it's only a burnout car life span of engines isn't that long)

Speedway V6 wingless sprint cars use a stock Buick v6 with reprogrammed memcal running on methanol.
Might be worth a look at.

In my late teens I had a vn v6 run on menthol benzine. With a car load of ppl it pulled like a 5.0, it ended snapping the crank between 4-5 an ran shithouse on 4 cylinders. Good times

Really? $1.09 - $1.29 a litre for stabilized 85% ethanol. I thought true methanol is more like $1.50 - $2.50 a litre?!

Anyways is not as good for any reason.

Not really fair comparing a proper race fuel to bowser stuff.
Barrel E85 is about $5-7 a litre depending on what size you get and brand.
Methanol can be had for as little as $1.10 a litre.

Mate nobody in their right mind pays that price for fuel. There is no magical / practical difference With racing e85, that's a furphy!

Buy a barrel from VPW. 205L barrel is $1.10 a litre.

Wow, that's an anomaly! Anyways ethanol is same price, legal on streets, won't kill you and much easier to come by. Better burn characteristics. There are a few SAE papers on it.
