I'm thinking of putting in a pod filter
does anyone have any opinions about what's better? Panel or pod?

Unless you're boxing the pod (as in, MACE box), panel 100% of the way..

If you just put a pod in it will suck in hot air from the engine bay and reduce power..

If you are keeping the stock airbox, K&N panel..

ok, fair enough.. but what if i were to extend the piping of the pod so it sits down near the bottom of the engine bay where all the air from under the car is? would that work or would the extended piping cause some sort of problem (ie, lack of air..etc)

EDIT: on second thought, i guess that would be a bad idea as it would suck in water from the road

I've decided on going the Pod Filter because the small increase in power isnt an issue for me, i can live without it
the pod looks and sounds better and that's good enough for me

i just need the car lowered and an exhaust chucked on it

I think the first thing you should do is lower it, it could double as a monster truck at that height :p

haha yeh that's true, but really i don't mind it... i definitely am going to lower it, but it's not the number1 priority
i like how you can see the tyres from behind the car and because the SS rims are wider than stock, it makes it look sorta 'drag-spec' :p

it feels SOO much better with the new brakes... i replaced them because the pads had been left in for way too long, it was basically the metal plate on the back of the pad grinding away at the rotor
now it's all smooth and amaaazing

and about the 255s on the back, ahaha that would be sick! can you post a pic of your car from the back so you can see the fattness of the tyres?
235s is fat enough for a v6 anyway :p
